(English is below) 日本手話を学ぼうー「聞こえない世界は、にぎやか。」  大分県聴覚障害者センターから講師と通訳の方をお迎えし、お話をうかがいながら日本手話にふれます。

「聞こえない世界は、にぎやか。」

音が聞こえないというと、全く無音で静かな世界にいるようなイメージをされるかもしれませんが、私の会うろう者は聞こえる人より喜怒哀楽が激しいかもしれません。海外の音声言語に日本語にない子音を駆使したり、中国語の四声など独自の進化をしたものがあるのと同じように、手話にも細かく使い分けた表現があり、また国によってもまた少し異なります。「ありがとう」のアクセントで、大阪の人ですか？と聞かれたことがあると聞こえる人の知り合いから聞いたことがあります。同じように、手話も地域性があるので、出身を想像することができます。

Learn Japanese Sign Language - “Loud Without Sound: Feel the Life”

We will welcome guest instructors from the Oita Prefectural Center for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing, listen to their talk, and learn Japanese Sign Language together.

Message from the Instructors：

“Loud Without Sound: Feel the Life”

You might imagine a world without sound as completely silent and still. However, many Deaf people we meet express a rich range of emotions—sometimes even more vividly than those who can hear. Just as spoken languages around the world have developed unique features—such as consonants not found in Japanese or the tonal system of Chinese—sign language also has its own nuanced expressions, which vary from country to country. Even within Japan, there are regional differences. For example, just as someone might guess where a person is from by the accent of how they say “thank you,” regional variations in sign language can also hint at where someone comes from.
